Coaching Philosophy

At Accelerate we enjoy what we do, it's active, challenging and sometimes totally mind-blowing. Above all else we want to see people succeed. After all there is no better feeling than to see athletes achieve something new: a new personal best, to finish or to be encouraged to try something completely different and discover that they like it.

"I once had a teenage girl walk into my office to talk about the possibility

of being coached by myself. When asked what she wanted to achieve she looked me in the eye and said she wanted to represent

Great Britain at the Olympic Games.

Now as a young lady I continue to work with her and she is

now part of the Junior GB squad and lottery funded.

She achieved this through hard work, understanding herself,

her limits and then reaching for new heights".

We want those that we come into contact with to go away enthusiastic, confidant and to treat failure as a stepping stone to success and not as something never to be tried again.

"Stuart has made me release that no mountain is unclimable (literally) and that it is possible to push yourself further than you would normally, but then reap the rewards produced. Through his help and quidance I have had an internationally recognised career in Pony Club Tetrathlon, Modern Pentathlon and now a nationally recognised career in Adventure racing".
